This event will be held at Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center in Ruskin, FL (just south of Tampa/ Brandon) in honor of Save the Frogs Day 2011.
5pm Gates open! Snack/beverage fundraiser kicks off the event (benefiting Camp Bayou)
6pm (likely earlier) Fun and educational frog activities
* explore cool things you can use to help frogs and the environment
* help decorate the Save the Frogs Day banner
* get a frog tattoo and play some frog games
* hear some frog calls and learn about Florida’s frogs
7pm Frog presentation followed by a night hike (hopefully the frogs will be singing!); learn about our Florida frogs and why frogs are important all over the world. It will be a fun, casual night in a natural Florida setting! Make sure to come prepared for the night hike (flashlight, insect repellent, etc.)
$5 suggested donation per person which will equally benefit Save the Frogs!, America’s first and only public charity dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation AND Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center, a nature preserve open to the general public with trails, nature center, fossil museum, native camp, picnic tables and events throughout the year.
